Bronco cornerback and punt returner Darrent Williams was killed early this morning in a drive-by shooting, cutting short a career on the rise and, according to ESPN, someone trying to fight gang influence in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. Two years in the league, and while he hadn't quite developed into a top corner, he was showing flashes of good stuff. A few more years with Champ Bailey, and who knows.
